Developing a Magento Shopping Cart Package

Client Requirements:

The client approached us to develop Magento shopping cart package for his website dealing in designer T-shirts. He wanted custom designing and integration of some third party extensions as well.

Our Approach:

The client’s website features designer t-shirts. He wanted a design contest module that allowed participants to upload their designs to get the same printed on their t-shirts. Initially, we had to set up the Magento community edition; further we integrated the theme into it. We also implemented following payment systems in the website –

Prepayment

We further worked on the “Design Module”. Users had to firstly register on the site and them upload their design. As the module offered no facility to users to create design online, all designs were created offline. Nevertheless, if needed, some Photoshop templates were allowed to be downloaded for purpose of reference.

Our developers added the functionality to enable site admin have the right to decline/ accept the submitted designs. Admin could even convert the winning design to a product. We added the functionality to allow normal users like/dislike any submitted design or even post a comment. Also, users could search products suiting their requirements according to parameters like –
